Understanding the Behaviour Within the Environment
A classroom observation provides an opportunity to look beyond the behaviour and understand what may be contributing to a child's challenges.
Observations may examine:
• Transitions
• Task initiation
• Teacher prompts
• Peer interactions
• Environmental factors
• Avoidance patterns
• Engagement
• Regulation
• Response to adult support
Following the observation, a practical recommendations and a written Classroom Observation & Strategy Plan will be provided.
Includes:
• 60–120 minute classroom observation
• Parent consultation
• Teacher consultation
• Review of current strategies
• Written 1–3 page strategy summary
• Practical recommendations
• Role clarity for adults supporting the child
This is an observational and consultative service and is not a psychological assessment, diagnosis, or clinical assessment report.
